Currently users are not required to
register or provide any personal information in order to use the
main web site at the Club. No personal data is stored by or
captured through the site without users' prior knowledge and
consent. On occasions we may ask for some personal information
to be able to answer queries you may have. This may include
name, title, address, telephone number and e-mail address. It
may be stored electronically or manually. Any personal
information that is provided will only be used for the purpose
stated at the time we request it. All personal data supplied is
held in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. The Club
does not sell or otherwise transfer personal data to any third
parties without consent, or unless permitted by law.
The Club's web servers build logs
of activity including a log of users' IP addresses. This is done
to gather demographic and other statistical information about
user behaviour to measure the popularity and effectiveness of
our site.
We employ a usage statistics
package. Awstats is used to measure and analyse information
about visits to our website. To do this, we use your IP-address
to collect, among other things, internet traffic data and also
data about your browser type and computer.
Photographic Images
At the beginning of the season and upon
registration of each new player, parents/guardians are required
to sign and complete the club registration form. The
following excerpt from that document relates to the use of
photographic still and moving images by the club:
I understand that
by returning this completed form I consent to the
photographing/videoing and publication of images of my son /
daughter / child in my care* under the RFU's Policy and
Procedures for the Protection of Young People in Rugby Union,
and I confirm that I am legally entitled to give this consent. I
also confirm that my son / daughter / child in my care* is not
the subject of a court order. Further by signing and returning
this form I consent to the photographing/videoing and
publication of images of my involvement in Rugby Union under the
RFU/RFUW's Policy and Procedures for the Welfare of Young People
in Rugby Union.
This is an opt-out
process and parents/guardians who object to images of their son
/ daughter / child in their care appearing on this website
should contact the webmaster and/or the Child Protection
Officer, giving relevant details to ensure all images and
textual references are removed.
Data Protection Act
The Club ensures that all personal data is held in accordance
with the Data Protection Act 1998. Compliance is managed by the
Club's Chairman.
